How it started;
Jennie is a passionate and talented singer who has been performing all her life, but professionally for 24 years, it's something that has been nurtured since the age of five, when she saw her big sister enter the local parish church, Anna; her sister, was in the choir procession in a crisp white surplice, Jennie looked up and asked her mum 'Can I join the choir?' 'When you're six you can ask the choirmaster' her mum replied. Ever impatient, Jennie approached the choirmaster after the service and negotiated attendance to the following Tuesday evening choir practice. Quite confident for a five year old! Jennie served 12 years as a chorister in the same church choir and was principle soloist in 1988 gaining in confidence and passing several RSCM exams.
Jennie joined her first band at 15 years of age as lead singer and managed to gig despite being underage, a distinct height advantage was beneficial even back then. At 21 and living in London, Jennie joined her 2nd band as lead vocalist and performed with them throughout London. In January 2000 Jennie went for two auditions; one at Pontins and one at Butlins, fearing the worst, after hearing nothing until March, job offers came in for both Butlins and Pontins. Butlins offered Skegness but Pontins offered Jersey and that is where she became a 'Bluecoat'. On her return to the mainland in October 2000 she made the monumental decision to 'go solo' and rely on no one but herself. She owned her PA system before her driving licence and for few months her folks ferried her to bookings. It was her parents complete belief in Jennie that initially funded her PA system for her to start building a diary of work and becoming an established solo artiste. After ten years solo, in 2010 she auditioned as the lead singer in Sussex band; Reload, she was delighted and excited to be offered the post and worked tirelessly with them for 11 years.
